A British Rock band with a strong Welsh heritage, based in Manchester, Preston & Tywyn.
Intriguingly hard to categorize, Soul Saboteur ooze “Poetic lyrics set to soaring melodies and smouldering blues and rock compositions; a fresh yet timeless sound”, with playing and writing styles reflecting that of rock bands of the 1960′s and 70′s, with execution and depth. The band’s song themes & lyrics are shaped by Welsh singer & songwriter James Stone’s personal experiences of British life, growing up in Wales and later living in Manchester.
The band was founded by James Stone and manager Paul Gilberg, who brought together an Anglo-Welsh musical blend of long-time friends Jason Griffiths (Drums) and Andy Hall (Bass), and a new one in the shape of previously Spanish-based guitarist Carl Morgan-Peters; All previously the ‘lost boys’ of music, they have found a home in Soul Saboteur and together they are forging a unique musical identity.
The debut album Therapy For The Damned was released by digital stores on 30th November 2013, and the title track was selected by Tom Robinson for play on BBC Radio 6:
